(quoted from post at 08:49:28 05/21/21) All leaning will do is put it at an angle but it will still go straight

SV, none of my scoots would ever "go" at an angle. They would either turn into the direction of the lean or tip over. Can you actually ride a bike straight with it leaning to one side?

Yes, yes you can.
When I learned to ride a motorcycle many years ago, I was taught to lean them to turn also.
Then I started racing them. Leaning doesn't cut it.
You, the rider, and for that matter any passenger, do not need to lean to turn.
You turn the handle bars in the opposite direction of what you want to turn and the bike turns instantly.
If you try it, try it gently.
You may be surprised how fast they turn without the rider having leaning at all.
If you want proof of this without trying it yourself, play with a remote controlled one.
Turn the controller to turn left or right and see which way the front wheel turns.

I forgot to mention, this probably doesn't apply to the tractor in question though!

Royse you are absolutely right about turning in the opposite direction. I didn't bring it up though because I don't think that it would work with this tracked motorcycle. I bet that it would take some body english to get it to lean but as soon as you did it would come around.

I agree with you Showcrop that it may not work with the pictured machine.
I just forgot to add that into my original post.

(quoted from post at 20:32:10 05/21/21) I dont know I guess we should weld the front wheel solid on
an old bicycle and see what happens
ou understand. Because of the geometry of the steering axis, the lean turns the steering direction of the front wheel.
