Stihl and John Deere

In a recent copy of The Furrow there is a full page ad for Stihl chain saws and eq. Does anyone know why Stihl is in a John Deere publication?

Apparently old news that goes back to 2008 (one site I looked at says 2005).

The big town I live close to has 5 Stihl dealers/sellers and the Deere house is one of them.

In my hometown the JD dealer is also a Stihl dealer, maybe just a coincidence.

My local Deere dealer has Stihl as well as the Kubota dealer and the Rural King farm store, and they are all within 5 miles of each other
