Neighbors 2510 gas quit while heading out to spread. Switched over to the 3020 power shift. Both have replaced the 2650 that hydraulic pump quit working. Got a couple cow pictures too. He is probably going to sell this year.

His equipment looks like so many small dairy farmers. Everything looks tired and well used. Just not enough income or time to keep everything up. Nice barn full of pretty brown cows. Should make Bruce smile. I had a few Holstein-Jersey crosses but at the end had about half red holsteins. Tom

I have always said that cows take all your time and ask for more.
Some days are like triage- "forget what we were planning to do today- the milker pump/hired man/water pump/(fill in the blank) just quit". Or rain is coming and the hay is dry. And winter is when you work twice as hard, just to get half as much done. Prettying up the tractor will have to wait.
Not complaining though- I have had cows all my life, and it is all I ever wanted to do.

It's nice to not be rehitching for every job during a season. Like one on planter one on spreader, disc, field cultivator, and chisel plow, Sure saves a lot of time then for hay just use a different set of tractors for that too.

Exactly Bill! The shoestring budget is great for keeping equipment up to snuff. Always great to have someone else set the price for your product too. I was in during the good times of the eighties and early 90s! Lol
