Looks like the remains of what is referred to as a Doodlebug. In the early 1900s
various companies offered kits cosisting of larger rear drive wheels and heavier
axle components that could be switched out of a car , resulting in a machine that,
although not as good as a real tractor, could perform light to medium draft loads
on the farm. Several companies offered kits for several makes of cars, the Model T
being the most popular. I have no idea of the make or car used in your picture, the
experts will know

I do not know or would guess at a valu. But it sure looks like it could be a fun project, costly as always, but enjoyable.

A couple years ago I had a guy ask me if I could fix a couple of rims he had that came off of one of those. The rims had rusted from sitting and I had a couple rim tat where good but the wrong center. So I cut his centers off his old rims and bolted them to the rims I had and he was happy

That looks a lot like a Monkey Wards tractor conversion. Mostly they were used on Ford Ts and As but I don't see why they couldn't have been used with any make. I bet that is a valuable piece right thar!

when I waas young we called them jitter bugs, made from and old truck or car. My neighbor built one on an old truck chassis and used it to farm with. He pulled a horse drawn plow with his son on the plow. Quite a sight to behold.

I agree with others that it is a doodlebug. It could have enough value that someone may haul it away no charge!

No clue. but that would be cool lawn art. Be interesting to know the
history of it who converted it and what year.

I don't believe it is a true "doodlebug".....most of them use a car frame equipped with a stock ton and a half or larger truck transmission and rear. Notice the bull gear on the wheel which gives it the necessary gear reduction. I did a little "googling" around and found several of those conversions including Sears and Monkey Wards but none are exactly like the one found in the woods.
