Saw a billboard today that said you can buy a new Austin Martin for a mere $1789.00/month for 72 months. Is that a good deal? Thought about swinging in and signing up, but wasn't sure if it was a good deal or not.
 
As soon as the Nigerian prince sends me the money, which should be here any time now, I will get one or two.

To keep this tractor related we know that Jon would love to have a CASE car. Yeah, Ford wasn’t the only one building cars and tractors. BUT, did you know that from 1947 to 1972 Aston Martin was a wholly owned subsidiary of David Brown?

If it comes with smoke screen, oil slick, machine guns fore and aft and a rocket launcher, I think that is a fair price. I promise to only use it for good. Nothing nefarious.
 
Holy cow ! I do have a truck payment. 279 a month for 60 months when I started it. Granted it’s no racer but it’s a 3/4 ton and gets the job done ! Wonder if it’ll haul a trailer or if I can throw a ton of fertilizer or feed or coal in it ! Ha ha !

Long ago I stopped in at the Mpls Jaguar dealer to ask about a used car they had. I got to talking about their customer base. He said it was a few lawyers, a few professional athletes and surprisingly, a few ranchers from the Dakotas, Wyoming and Montana. He said they brought them
back every year to trade in on new ones. He said they were hammered and nearly shot, but they came back for another one. Maybe they used Rovers for their rough country driving. Probably tax deductible if they are used to go on cattle- and horse-buying trips.
 
Heck go price a new 140 HP tractor with cab and loader, and you will find it’s about the same . You just have to ask yourself which one you need. One will pick up chicks, and the other will pick up manure? It’s all a matter of priorities
 
Heck, get 2, one for you and one for the wife! I had a customer that had some kind of Bently sports car i think it was, one day a tractor trailer with canvas sides pulls up in the guys estate, he had to pick up the car and take it to Connecticut for service!
 
If I had $128,808 to spend on a car, it for sure would not be on an Aston Martin.

Just think how many Case machines you could buy with that money and 5 years from now they would not have depreciated like the car.
 
Somehow I don't think that billboard was meant for a bunch of old farts who live out in the boonies and wear bib coveralls ..... LOL !!!
 
There was a cattle rancher in one of those western states that was famous for driving a Rolls Royce. He said it was because the car had fenders. Gave him a place to carry dead sheep.
