Pushed a little snow today

Had about 30 inches drop on us last night. I plow for our town and it was kind of hectic for awhile. Finally stopped around noon . Posting a few pictures from today. About 3:00 I got home and fired up my old Oliver to push some more snow.

We got about 8” here in York County but it was blowing hard so drifted some. Here is a shot of me on the 4020 running the snow blower, that the neighbor snapped. I went back out this morning and cleared everything again, plus some.

I'm with SV on this. I will take as much snow as I can get. Living in the high desert the snow pack is what provides water for the rest of the year. I NEED it so grass and forage grows for summer cattle grazing. So far it's not looking good.

We live in S.E. Va, about 20 miles north of the N.C. line and 50 miles from Va Beach. When it snows more than 4"-6", life as we know it comes to a screeching halt. We don't have the equipment to move and clear it,especially in the rural areas. And working on tractor/trailers with snow/ice melting is a hassle too!!

Northvale Pa, Was kinda wishing I had my old snowblower. My dad went to an auction and it was rusty but in good shape. He got it for $250. I was mad at him because I wanted a forage wagon at the sale.

I live on the other end of Pa. from Northvale Pa and we got 20 inches of the white stuff last night. About 30 miles across the New York line in Binghamton, NY they got 41 inches. Lots of fun.

I bought mine about 6 years ago at Wengers’s. It is only 6’ wide so I bolted wings on to make it 7’. Our farm lane is a 1/4 mile long and drifts badly. I use to clear it with a loader tractor but that took hours when deep. Now a fraction of the time and my wife can run it easily too. Here I was heading out this morning. The supervisor is looking things over.

We ended up getting 10 inches last night and today. The picture was last night when I got the snow chains on.

From a fellow Cheese Head, My feelings EXACTLY! Winter of 2007/2008 I survived over 100 inches of snow around Madison. But I REALLY don't like the brital cold. I do have 12V electric socks and gloves I can wear while on the tractor that really help.

Northvale , Found the picture from 1988 the White 2-70 my dad bought cheap from BTO called Dreamstreet. John Lennon was an investor and Yoko Ono. My neighbor called and asked if I had a snow blower to do his driveway. He thought it was a small walk behind one and I showed up with this. He took the picture and gave it to me.

Greg, We got about the same amount over here in West Fulton but according to the local news channel, Summit, just 4 miles UP the road had 37". I had not yet gotten around to put my snow bucket on the ol' WD Allis......luckily, my son-in-law came by with his plow truck.
I took a few pictures also. That is my Tacoma next to the wood pile with only the mirror visible. My WD-45 is doing a pretty good job of hiding as well.
