Battery impact wrench 1/2 Makita,Milwaukee,Dewalt or Ridgid

(quoted from post at 09:15:42 12/12/20) Looking for a good one most bang for the buck thanks

There are reviews on line of which is the best performance wise, but you asked about best value for your buck. Do you already have other battery operated tools that use the same batteries as one of the brands use? If so that is likely your biggest bang for your buck.

Generally everyone will have one they feel is best, usually based on the one they own because who among us would have less than the best. That said, I have a 1400 ft. lb. breakaway torque Milwaukee M18 and other M18 tools that use the same batteries, making it the best for my buck. JMHO

I'm looking in the same line. I have Dewalt 18v, Makita 18v (many levels above the Dewalt IMO) and china Porter Cable junk in the garage. I don't want to (can't afford) to send an arm and leg, and don't want to add another line of batteries. I'd prefer a Makita 18v but they are near double what the Dewalts are. Milwaukee is very, very available locally, but also very, very expensive.

I'll be watching to see the comments here.

I made fun of the battery powered impacts for years, and how they wouldnt work for long on a charge. After watching several of my mechanics buy every brand on the planet trying to find a good one, all but one went with the M18 Fuel. I finally bought one myself and couldnt be happier. I do have one guy with the Dewalt 1/2 and it has been known to loosen a bolt or two the M18 wouldnt.

I wanted a small one for changing sections and guards in the field.

Son bought me a M18 3/8 drive as I already had a drill that uses the same battery and charger.

Just for the sake of trying it out I spun the lug nuts off one of the wheels on my boat trailer.

Rusty dirty threads, nuts had not been off in years. It took them off as fast as my Snap on air 1/2 impact.

Quite impressed.

I have two Milwaukees, and I would say theyre about as good as youll find. Though I wouldnt say theyre the best bang for your buck. If you already have battery/charger of another brand, Id go that way.

have dewalt, batteries getting tired and impact screwed up
bought a set of ridgid from home depot , and after you go on-line & register the serial #s, the tools, batteries & chargers are covered with a lifetime no cost warranty this is Canada, but some thing to look in to and the ridgids work as well as the dewalts they replaced

Picked up the gen1 Milwaukee Fuel 1/2" a few years ago and it is quite a tool. We use Milwaukee at work and they bought a newer one last year, it is a beast.
