My Dad has a Toro Dino 320 D with a Kubota D600 3 cyl diesel in it (not the original to the 320D). About less than 10 years ago, he had the
injector pump rebuilt on it when he brought the engine back to life from the weeds. Some time later, it started acting up, where it will
die, but it will start right back up after. Don't matter if its at high throttle, low throttle, mid throttle. Seams to be a little worse in
the winter (but he's in Phoenix, so its not all that cold), and seams to usually happen as soon as any load (its all hydrostatic) is placed
on it. Some times it will run for maybe a min, other times longer-this summer he says it ran fine all summer, but then yesterday it started
acting up again. If it was gas, would say its electrical, but being a diesel, would be the shut off solenoid, but it don't engage when it
dies.
Is this something that could be pump or injector related? Or?
Cant see how it could be air in the fuel system as it starts right back up every time, with no excessive cranking of the starter.
Thanks
