Cub wheel weights

Will adding wheel weights lower the center of gravity on a cub? What about fluid in tires? I have a full set , rear and fronts, thinking I should put them on my dad's tractor.

yes. any weight below the centerline of a tractor will shift that point lower and add stability.

Whether a cub's 9 h.p. engine can handle the extra load is another matter.....

I own 2 Farmall A's, 1 has the full set front and rear with filled rears, the other has the rear weights only. If and when I'm able the other one will be filled as well. There is more stability with the rears filled and weighted plus you add much more pulling power. The Cub is just a scaled down A, my opinion you can't go wrong with the weights.

My Cub has rear weights & will pull it's 4' tandem disk in soft ground with 4 concrete blocks as disk weights with no problems. Do not under estimate the pulling power of that 9 hp engine.

The cub I know needed a hundred or so lbs. more on the right. It had rear wheel weights and the right tire had antifreeze in it. Seemed balanced traction wise.
