International 656 460

I have the possibility of buying an international 460 or an international 656. Can someone tell me yes or no on these. Thank you.
 
If you have to pick one or the other,the 656 is the best choice.The 656 is around 65 hp,the 460 is around 50.The 460s had problems with the rear ends when they first came out,but 99% of them have been fixed and are great tractors as well regardless of what people might try to tell you.I assume these are both gas tractors,so you want to make sure they ran low ash oil in the motor.What really matters is which is in best overall condition,and that is what your choice should be based upon.They are both good reliable tractors when taken care of like anything else.

Remember that a 460 is a 6 cylinder H with all modern convenience's of the day. The evolution went as follows: H to Super H, to 300, to 350, & finally to 6 cylinders in a 460. They are handy tractors, but the are a lot older than the 656.
 
656 hands down. those 460's with that steering box setup are a pain and not the best set up. 560 is totally different unit and better. plus those 460's sure are hard on my back.
 
I have a 460 gaser with a Wes. loader. As I age it would be more practical to have the 656 with frt. side step. I like the 460 as you can shift gears at the same time you use the hyds. Shifter and hyds are both on the same side on the 656.The 656 shifter can cause pain in the neck if it goes bad.
 
The 656 is a better tractor- newer and better ergonomics. The 460 isn't bad - the transmission issues were 50+ years ago - if they've last this freaking long I dont think it will be an issue now.
 
Not sure of your intended use but the 656 was offered in a hydro too which was very handy for a lot of things. You didnt mention which transmission this one has but that would likely influence my decision
