Well-used parts????

I called Alexander’s in Winnsboro, TX to order a 2 spool
remote setup for a Ford 3910. Was told they were out of stock
and back ordered. Instead I was offered a reman setup(bait &
switch maybe?) for $250 less than the new one. I took the bait
and ordered the reman and was told they would ship it out
that day. 2 weeks later, I live 200 miles away, I got the so-
called kit. Valve itself looks pretty good, don’t know if it works
yet, no O-ring set to install it, and the couplers & hoses shown
in the pic’s. IMHO, the hoses & couplers are garbage. I called
back to get a return authorization and was told they would not
give me one but would send new couplers & hoses And the
O-ring kit. 2 phone calls and 2 months later I have received
nothing from them. I disputed the charge with Discover(how I
paid) and they let the charge stand since I have no
proof(written or recorded) that they would send replacements
or that the originals were defective.
So my recommendation would be to avoid doing business
with them unless you want to take a chance and be treated
like I was.

i presume you are talking about replacing those old hoses, as yes they are garbage. any hydraulic shop can make them and supply couplers. its not a big deal. so why not show what u did get?

Hi, what a load of cr@@. I would be disgusted if someone sent me those after supposedly buying a reman assembly. Do you have it in writing that it is a reman kit? There has to be a health and safety issue here due to the potentially high pressure involved. Don’t hold back, give ‘em both barrels.

shipping those hoses and couplers is nothing more the fraud

Tell them to make it right within seven business days.
Or you will be posting a review with pics via multiple venues.
They are one Facebook.
You can post goggle review.

etc. etc.

You made a big mistake in the way you protested it to your credit card company.

Protesting on the basis of a verbal claim that cannot be verified will fail every time. Verbal agreements will not stand up in any court without corroboration.

BUT, if you protested the charge on the basis of the goods having been misrepresented as being usable when they are clearly not, then you might have prevailed.

Try again. This time base your protest on verifiable facts. You would certainly have a strong case.

Won't hurt to try, but if Alexander's has the balls to send those hoses as pictured as new or rebuilt/refurbished hoses, they likely will deny they are from them.
And that they must be the customers own old hoses.
