Cut hay on Friday, old Ford was begging to have its picture taken. Dug up the peanut plants. It was an experiment , planted about 15 seeds. Not bad for a first try. DO NOT eat them raw fresh out of the ground!! Got the mower on the cub! My brother , from down under sent a few pictures. The charter pilot business is about dead in Australia so he has hired on to help swath hay and harvest canola. He was the escort for the combines.

Them peanuts look very good.
My Dad loved to grow them.
I'm not supposed to eat them, BUT those in a Snickers don't count, do they?

Kevin are you going to boil peanuts? Just brought back memories of signs I saw while down south. Our local baptist minister used to drop off bags of peanuts in the fall. They moved to Florida so no more peanuts for me! Couple pictures of our deck project from last night . Cat likes it and even a couple Oliver pics.

Larry , nope. Bought this old mower for $150. Guy bought a tax sale property and found it half buried in the woods.

I do not like boiled peanuts!! Roasted for me. Your deck is looking good. Some days I wish I still had my Oliver.......

Thanks Larry! The wife wanted more deck space. Only had a 10’x10’ floating deck before that was on the front of my neighbors house trailer. Went down with my tractor and loader and chained it to the bucket and brought it home. That was at least 10 years ago so got good use out of it.

They must get stuck a lot, with the tires on backwards. Some used to do that here, when you get stuck them you can back out with the tires on backwards.

If in Australia, I would guess for different reasons.

GpL.... Seeing those peanuts on the wagon reminds me, several years back our neighbor raised some peanuts just to see if he could. They turned out well. We scattered them on a wagon to dry some. He and my dad also raised Holstein heifers together. He supplied the land, dad supplied the labor(me and my older brother) to keep fences up and cattle seen to. Anyway as anyone that has had the "pleasure" of having Holstein heifers around, they pushed the barn doors open and ate everyone of the peanuts they could reach only leaving a few in the center of the wagon! Just enough left for me to understand what you mean when you said do not eat green raw peanuts!

I remember them tasting good. Not dry, actually a bit wet coming out that is if you get my drift. Maybe a different peanut or quantity ate.
