Third pic is nice! I liked hauling manure, no more horses or cows for me, but i cleaned out 2 chicken pens yesterday and dumped it on the garden im working on bringing back into production. I let it go for years, went to weeds, I plowed it last fall and planted buckwheat this spring, just plowed it again and gonna plant winter rye if we ever get any rain.

Chicken & horse? That's going to be a happy field. Really like your sunset photo from your "office". My Hy-Tran bucket is my shop trash can. Before that, it & another was used by my grandma to keep the table scraps in to be sent to the compost pile. Emptying that for her in the summer was a memorable job, to say the least. The tight lid that popped of was even more fun. Ugh! I'll spare you the mental image.

That's an interesting vehicle. I have never seen one. One less tire to repair. Are a lot of them around? Stationed in Japan in the 60's I saw a lot of three wheeled pickups. Apparently they didn't make it across the pond to the US. Stan

Nothing to break or plug on the flatbed just shovel it off with the loader . Would like a manure spreader though

Use to be a lot of em around now they’re less popular because of the row crop machines the 4 wheelers leve bigger ruts but they can also do grain and potatoes easier

I was with a Navy patrol squadron. I was stationed in Iwakuni in 67. It was a Marine air base. Fun times. Stan

That tri-cycle monster is a Terra Gator by Ag Chem. Looks to be a later model, but older than the Agco model. I want to say they were built in Willmar Mn., but can’t find anything to back that up. Currently the models, which includes a 4 wheeled version, are built in Jackson Mn.

And after a big painting project with an air powered sprayer i sh&t green ! Ive got a hygard bucket but i havent had time to clean one

Unfortunately yes ac in that stupid jcb doesn’t work so have to
have the door open all day and i get covered in chicken crap

You’re correct these had John Deere rear ends some of the later ones even had a John Deere power tec engine . Agco now runs a stupid truck rearend like a steiger tractor and you don’t have nearly enough brakes and the external slack adjusters do not play nice with fertilizer

How much manure can a horse make in a year ? Ten ton. Anr I don’t think they were far off

(quoted from post at 14:31:21 09/24/20) Do you compost any of it

Yes we compost in house between flocks after taking the top crust off with the machine in the photo, once a year we'll do a partial clean out and mix new shavings in with the remaining litter.
