ISO Coupler Conversion 2140

Another option popped up for my leaking hydraulic coupler on the JD 2140. Apparently it can be converted to ISO (Pioneer) type by changing the internal parts. A kit is available but its $385. (RE206778). Price on the seal kit to repair my existing original JD coupler is just over $50. Still plenty for a few o rings and washers but I think I'm going to try the cheap option first.

Almmost everything here is already Pioneer couplers . In fact I bought a pair of JD to Pioneer adaptors specifically for this tractor when I first got it because I knew it would not match up to any of the implements here with it's JD couplers.

Have you considered installing ISO breakaways similar to the economy style of breakaways utilized on JD 50/55 series utility tractors that were built after your tractor? There are 2 different style of coupler brackets. I would think a tractor salvage yard would have both styles.

I did not know that type were available from JD. I had actually considered a set of new Pioneer 9500 breakaways like the ones listed here. https://northernhydraulics.net/catalog/quick-couplers/-pioneer-9500-series-lever-coupler-break-away-kit-pioneer-9500-4-break-away-kit-2315.html
For now I have picked up a seal kit to try and fix the existing coupler. If that doesn't work I might go Pioneer.
