In all my years of driving different tractors, I have never driven a wide front tractor without power steering. Do they steer harder or easier then a tricycle front without? I still have nightmares of
navigating the model 60 J.D. without power steering and a 4 row front mount around the ends.

I had a Farmall C with wide front and a Super C tricicle, neither PS. I sold the C, steering was a major factor. I also had an Allis WD with a loader and no PS. That was my last loader tractor without power steering.

Have converted a Super C and a JD 60 from tricycle to wide front. Both steer harder, but seem to ride smoother on the road. Hayrides and tractor rides are their main duties now. The 60 has a neat buddy seat

I have not driven an SC with a wide front, but I've driven both SC's & DC's with narrow fronts that had loaders on them. You would be surprised at how easily that "chicken roost" steering works. I can easily turn a DC with a Farmhand F11 on it with one hand (using a steering knob) while stopped, even with manure in a raised bucket. I'm sure that WFE Case SC steers much easier than my WFE Farmall Super C does.

I have a wide front SC and some narrow front SC's. I haven't noticed any difference in steering one type versus the other. The wide front SC is weird in that those front wheels are so far away when sitting on the tractor seat.
