'Okahoma credit card'.

I didn't know so cheated and looked it up. It's a length of hose used to siphon gasoline. It should work on most or maybe all "lighter" liquids, but not oily types.

(quoted from post at 08:55:16 06/26/20) How many know what it is? How many know how to use one.I had to get it out this morning....

I have a few of the deluxe models made of clear tubing.

Really cuts down on the bad tastes in your mouth when you can see where the fluid is at.

I have "Texas deluxe model fuel siphon hose",angled slit in hose about 6'' from end with blower nozzle inserted with compressed air blowing in hose creating the vacuum. No chance for bad taste in mouth!

Yes but I’ve always heard them called something that is not politically correct....south of here!

Here in L A (Lower Alabama) we call it a Georgia credit card, Never saw a deluxe model, Might try to make one, Probably need to keep the old one for use around 2AM on a lonely road in the middle of no where,

I could use one here at my place! I'd love to see how the "Deluxe model is made. I'm tired
of the bad taste in my mouth! Does anybody have a photo or drawing of one? Jim in N.M.

You guys ever heard the song "four o'clock in the morning" by Roy Clark and Gatemouth Brown? Give a listen. Those guys know what an Oklahoma credit card is.

Sorry I don't have a photo of the hose I cut a slit into. Just move 6'' from end of hose & cut angled slit in hose with knife blade aimed at short end of hose. Put blower nozzle aimed at short end with opposite end of hose in the liquid one desires to siphon. Give a short burst or 2 of compressed air & watch liquid flow from hose.

Milton may still make the siphon blow gun. Works good for sucking up fluids but does spray them out the end. I have a super siphon I think is the name ? It is a clear hose with a check valve at the bottom. you lift it up and down in the fluid and it starts the siphon action.

As a Deputy I investigated a fellow for using one of these. He was dumping the proceeds into the back of a Mustang but it was pretty dark so his friend lit up a Bic for light. Results weren't as bad as could be, scorched back of the Mustang and melted the guys polyester pants. He ran into nearby river so not hurt, but fire dept got called so we heard about it.

This reminds me of the story about a guy with a camper special pickup having saddle tanks. He modified the right tank to be a black water tank for his camper. Guess what happened. Hose and vomit found on the ground one morning.

Used one this week getting the water out of the boss's boat gas tank.

Then modified it with the angled blow gun to finish siphoning the last remaining drops out, I hope...

Sure made the shop stink!

When I was a kid and since we are so close to West Virginia we called them West Virginia credit cards. Don't know why since there were as many in Ohio.

I've tried the angled slit or an angled fitting and have had mixed results with it. Easier to just use the regular hose, then plug the rest of the opening with a rag and blow compressed air into the tank itself. This will pressurize the tank and start the fuel flowing.
