Ford Backhoe 445c price?

I have a Ford 445c backhoe (was my husband's - he passed away). I must sell but have no idea what it is worth. I have called local equipment dealers - they take my message but do not return my calls. How do I go about finding its worth?

Might have to pay them but an auctioneer might be willing to appraise it for you. Google farm equipment or industrial equipment auction services for your area.

Armchair estimate: $10-$15K. Looks to be in very good shape.
Probably closer to $15K.

Someone here will probably have other ideas.

I wish I had some money right about now as I am within 50 miles of Rochester, NY. Still hard to say as to value without seeing up close and running.

Upon further reflection and if you are comfortable with people coming onto your property I would try something like Craigslist and initial price at 20,000 dollars. If the phone does not ring you can drop it by 500 dollars per week until it does unless you are pressed time wise. Still would pay to have an appraisal and being close to your location maybe you could contact somebody like Harris Wilcox in Bergen or William Kent in Stafford. I'm not affiliated with either and don't know if they will make an appraisal but it is worth a call to find out.

I would put low end at $12k if I knew 3/8
log chain on stick was original by Ford.
Looks good other than that.
