Original or aftermarket parts?

My 07 Honda 420 is taking /burning oil.I will try 20/50 oil for a little while but it will probably need rings at least.are some aftermarket parts better than Honda parts or should I stay with original?it has around 2800 miles on the odemeter

yes, stick with 20-50 oil and original parts. in the 1070's my old honda dealer guy introduced me to 20-50 castrol and thats all i have used since, in my mowers and stuff. yes i had an old honda 65 and a 90 back then . the 90 i had the head rebored and put in new honda parts when i was 16 years old. took apart and put together myself. she run like a top and drove it all over.

I would take a wild guess that NO aftermarket parts are better than genuine Honda. Most aftermarket are made in Chins, also known as "the land of almost right".
