I have changed out the seals and gaskets on my 1973 cub cadet 129. Put back together and now it will not go forward or reverse. How would I go about purging or bleeding?

Does it have the release valve to let it roll?
Try opening that with it running, move the lever through the motions, roll it manually.

Just to be sure, make sure the driveshaft is turning at engine speed ALL the time.
Especially when moving the go lever forward or reverse.
Maybe the pin at engine end has sheared.

The pistons HAVE to go back in correct bore, then sounds like the squash plate is not working to control positions of the pistons. Been over 30 years since I was in school learning about them and never had to have my 129 tranny apart . But exterior linkage can be bad so as not to do the control to the squash plate that makes forward,netrual and reverse.
