Anyone have any recommendations on a over run clutch for a Ford 6610. Im planning on using it for the 8ft woods mower and wood chipper. Im want to extend the pto brake in the long run. I have one on it and its getting loose.

AN ORC will defeat the PTO brake action on the mower. A mower brake would be needed to rapidly stop the inertia of the blades, and would need to
be engineered to be safe and operated from the tractor. Jim

I just hate how the mower or the chipper has to come to a dead. I dont care about the haybine (has less load) and the baler.

The inertia of rotating mass sure wears out PTO brake systems. On out 350U we lett it slow down with the lever in the middle just to avoid
excessive break band wear for no reason. Jim

Same, but its either on or off. Ive tried to baby when I turn it off and it doesnt work. I can baby it when I start it.

This is the orc that Ive been using

I can idle the motor and got the pto to slow, but when I try to disengage the pto slowly, it just stops.

Not designed that way, no easing in or easing off, fast start or stop. Hard on equipment. Sure Ford designed them the same way on the newer tractors as they did on the 65 up 4 & 5000 tractors that I had and I hated that independant PTO setup. Trierd it with the AC 60 combine, went back to the 2 cylinder Deere without live PTO. I wish they had kept the 2 stage clutch of the earlier 4000 as I think it would have been better.
