Assuming the two steam engines were pulling some kind of heavy equipment on the wagon the question I
have is not how they pulled it but how did they brake or hold back going down the hills. Great
photo.

They used the braking power of the truck behind the rig, you just can't see the chain. LOL

Can anybody ID the engines? I bet the truck was pushing while the engines were pulling.
I sure wish there was a caption on the photo.
