injector pump

I have a Perkins diesel with a Lucas,Cav pump
Initially had a miss
I repaced bad injector,all fuel filters and electric in line pump
I can not raise the rpms to get good power
I have adjusted the max rpm screw and rpms do not change even moving the little arm???
is there anything else I should be doing before I replace the pump??

Make sure the electric pump is pumping the correct direction. 1) Bleed the pump, using the bleeder screw. Electric pump makes this easy! 2) Bleed the injection lines at the injectors. Loosen all nuts, crank until fuel spurts from each line. Keep your hands AWAY - high pressure fuel can puncture skin. Tighten nuts and crank, at medium throttle. Should run now. zuhnc

Sir,It does run ,but No power or Rpm raise
Its like a stuck throttle??
Just no increase in Rpms????

You say you changed fuel filters. What brand and part number filters?

Are the filters NAPA/WIX brand? Did you place an O ring in the filter top outer groove, blocking fuel flow? Common mistake on those filters, pump should have been left alone..

I replaced the big fuel filter with Napa 3125,it had a rubber seal in groove as it is a spin on type??

What is the pump model number? Should start with a 3, 85, or 89..
