Yankee Ingenuity

With a little extra time on my hands and after enjoying putting together some of the puzzles that accompany the pictures of the daily tractors I took it upon myself to look up on the internet a company that will take any picture that you have and make it into a puzzle. That being said I thought I would try my first project and chose this little tractor that I had restored several years ago. O K the next question is what size do you want, what finish do you want, how many pieces do you want, who do you want to ship it to you and do you want it in a plastic bag or a tin can. About half way completed I had serious questions about what was I thinking. Now the question becomes what are you going to do with it. I did mention to my wife that I think it would look good framed and her answer was "and hung in the garage." I just know that it might be a long time before I spend four days putting it together again. Tell me what you think.

Pretty neat. I think it's worth framing and print on the kitchen next to her pictures of flowers (or whatever else).

A fellow I know has an auto repair shop in a small town, the walls inside the garage are decorated with a couple dozen jigsaw puzzles of tractors that his dad had put together in his retirement, make good memories as his dad is now passed away.

You did enjoy a challenge, with the large areas of foliage, concrete, and garage door that were 3 areas of sameness!

Nice.

Get another puzzle picture of her craft items, grandchildren, etc. that may be more of an interest to her and see if she changes her mind. In this household her mind is always subject to change.

I did a few JD farm scene puzzles and horse puzzles then hodge podged and framed some while going through cancer treatments a few years back. I do these puzzles daily. Enjoy them alot!

That looks like a tough puzzle- the pieces are much more similar to each other than the puzzles posted here daily.
As far as what to do with it, remember the operative phrase "Happy wife, happy life."

looks very nice, wrong green for me ,just kidding, but yea that would have to go to garage or your office. I have that kind stuff in office and in large shop, a lot going in now in my big display room that I am doing in the house after this night mare project started. please every one out there beware of the flooring and cabinets and under lay you use. we ended up in emergency room formaldyhyde poison levels 10 times above. a lot of the new floating floor fads has it bad

When I complete one I usually take a couple pictures of it, then take it apart again and put it back in the box. A couple years from now it will be a whole new challenge all over again!
One exception was this one I did last year. I decided once was enough and so glued and framed it. Right now we have it on display in our living room.

To keep it for framing we slide waxed paper under the puzzle first (takes three or so large pieces to get from top to bottom) then thin plain white glue with about 50% water and apply to the FRONT of the puzzle with a paint brush. Make sure to brush from every direction soo that every crack betwwen pieces is filled. Try to get an even coat. It will look cloudy but will dry to a nice clear surface and be very durable.

Otherwise, they make a special puzzle glue for doing that. Pour it on, then either brush it out or spread it with a small squeegee or an old credit card.
