1955 Ford 640 loader rebuild

I have a 1955 Ford 640 tractor with a Ford I9-426 loader (serial #3932). I use this tractor year round. The 4 cylinders on the loader need to be rebuilt, but I can't find parts or rebuild kits for it. Does anyone know where I can get what I need to do a rebuild? The bucket droops and the loader slowly falls whether the tractor is running or not. Thanks.

Unless it's something odd and special, the seals can usually be found at a seal supply.

There are a lot to choose from, they have dimensions and pictures, but it can be confusing and not all are stocked.

Some times it's better to call or send samples and let them match them up.

I use R&D Seals in Dallas because it's close, but they have extensive stock and know what they are doing. Much better prices than the dealer.

The down side is you will have to take it apart first, but that will give you a chance to look everything over to be sure seals will fix it.

Thanks for the info Steve. I had hoped that I could get a kit or something first so that the unit isn't out of service as long. But, that may be the only way. I'll contact them and see what they need from me.
