Drove through Sour Lake, TX today. Birthplace of Texaco. Saw the following on the side of Hwy. 105.

Sour Lake is an old oil producing area. Based on the poor photo, I would guess it is a drum for wireline used in servicing wells. Kind of a large, high speed winch drum for lowering or raising various tools in wells, such as swabbing cups. Have seen several home-made such rigs around old oil producing areas.
