One of these perhaps? Vickers Vigor as Phil suggested. I saw my first one at the Royal Norfolk Show in around 1954 although my memory says it was a darker blue. There used to be four sat in a yard alongside the A68 at Consett.
 
Hi Majorman, you are right the blue paint is to light. A friend of mine Steven Robson at the Chain Bridge Honey Farm near Berwick on Tweed has one so his could be one of the four at Conset. Tom Marley who is a keen collector of crawler tractors comes from the Conset area and he has a collection of Malam crawler tractors based on Ford tractors. MJ
 
Yes,it should be a much darker blue. Not a very successful machine, it was very quick over the ground, much faster than a Cat, but a weak gearbox, not well suited to pushing.
 
That looks like a good idea. The tracks
follow th contour of the ground. I would
think that they would have better traction
than regular crawlers.
