28 degrees today and very windy here in the hudson valley region of NY. Brought the allis wd out of the garage for some driving time today and got some things done.

I'm not sure whether to say we must have been lazy or not. We didn't cut it any shorter than we could stick in under the pan for the fire. Yet we always split all of ours by hand with a sledge and wedge. Only split it enough to get into fire though.
