For Old Popper

There is a farmstead at intersection of 143 and 110, west of Paullina that has about two dozen loaders and a ton of old red stuff.

Do you know the story on that?

I think you mean hwy 10 and 143. He is a jockey who likes red machinery. I bought a loader from several years ago. He seemed to be OK to deal with but that was my only dealing with him. Maybe Dale can fill you in better than I can.

I have driven by there for years and always has used red equipment on the place. I just figured he wheeled and dealed.

I don't know much about the fellow, my brother in law lives in Marcus told me that he doesn't deal much anymore. I guess he is up in years and lost his wife a few years ago. I always called that intersection "Farmall Corner".

That place always catches my attention.

The parents of my good friends, Kruse, farms south of there, and the family of one of my Engineers, Hoefling, farms outside Marcus.

It is a small world.

His name is Harold Niichel, Granville Iowa. My brother does some work for him from time to time, nice old gentleman.

If you look up his east drive way you can usually see his "watch" lama. He will be sitting there looking back at you.
