Moving Fuel Tank 1989

Rusty which one of the guys was you. I have pictures of me when my my my hair was and beard was that dark just about that same time. I remember moving some 10000 gallon fuel tanks that were pretty much under some Hi KVA distribution line. We had a crane operator come in to move them. We were trying to decide how to get them out of there, Casey said watch this, proceeded to boom over the top of the hi lines and hoist completely over the top with tanks that probably 8x20 feet. Asked him if that was legal to do that, said "Yeah as long as you don't get caught or drop them."

I did not appear in that video at all as I was behind the camera all the time. My brother, his brother in law and a cousin from Alberta were doing the work. I was just the guy telling them how to do it :) It was the first year i was taking on the extra section of land over there so needed to set up a fuel supply in that yard.

In the part where they are looking at the old 930 case why is the engine intake ducted into the cab -- some kind of farmer fix ????

That was actually an 830 Case. It was in one of my videos a year or more ago. The modified air intake was for winter time snow plowing. It could suck clean air avoiding snow, via that pipe into the cab. My brother has since modified it back to the original style intake as he does not push any snow with it.
Those in warmer parts of the world where the snow is wet won't have that problem. But here where the snow is often cold and dry, high speed snow plowing will put up a cloud of "snow dust" that will suck into the engine air intake and plug it up completely if you don't watch it.
