Remember a couple days ago I posted about my Green Isle wagon gear with the square bolts? Well I started cleaning it up for paint and see that it was welded from the factory with a stick
welder. Some of the welds still had slag on them that I had to chip off. Also serial number 099. Any of that help us date it? Can't figure out how to turn pictures.

I cant help you with any data, but nice to see someone else is interested in running gears,I bought a nice Electric brand tandem running gear, very nice yet also, but it got them stupid 15 inch,@ wide tires on it,but it 's got super heavy Axles, like 2 1/4 or 2 3/8 and nice 8 bolts hub's Hope to get it painted this summer !

Green Isle filed incorporation papers in July 1958.
But that might not reflect when they started making running gear.
They could have been building equipment for many years before incorporating.
