I think I remember that commercial, More people lean on Chevy trucks, while waiting for the tow truck to come rescue them, ha ha. I had a few GM trucks over the years, the best was my 72 Chevrolet C20. 350 4 barrel , 4 speed standard,3/4 ton. Just a plain truck with no real options, and one tough old truck. That?s a nice video Roosty,I remember that commercial as well. When they released the 1988 trucks it seemed like an extreme design change and in a lot of ways it was. A neighbour of mine had an 87 and a ?half? chev truck,87 square body styling but had the updated TBI 5.0 litre engine. You didn?t have to pump the gas when starting and whoa the power, imagine that.

I always loved those side mirrors ,look to see behind you and it looked like there was an Earthquake behind you.

I wasn't presenting any name brand as better than the others. It just happened GM had a nice commercial and song at the time that I wanted to use. It also helped that we seemed to have a majority of GM products around to video. You'll notice I did sneak in a short clip of the IH Loadstar and the Mercury truck too.
