Dash light says tire pressure senser fault...flashes 2 minutes at start up and stops but I still get the low tire light..all tires are up at equal pressure now for 3 weeks.

Check the spare if you have one. Could have one with a sensor in it causing the light to go on. If not, you probably have a sensor failing.

The sensors have batteries in them that eventually go dead. So, the ones in your tires are 13 years old now? Might be time to replace them all.

Thanks,
I bought it from a used car lot and and his part time mechanic said that as well but it sounded far fetched..well I stand corrected..now where are these sensors located/batteries

When you replace the sensors, the computer has to be re-programmed to recognize them. You need to write down all the numbers on your new sensors for programmer. I sensed that this was going to cost quite a bit, so I went on the internet and found out how to disable the TPMI (tire pressure management system). This was on a Toyota Tacoma, so your's may be a quite different case.

I had to replace all of the sensors in a 2007 Chrysler minivan a couple of years ago.

Didn't have to do any reprogramming, though. I just replaced them and they programmed themselves.

Had a tire repaired on my '08 Toyota Tundra earlier this fall. Shop broke the pressure sensor while taking the tire apart & replaced it with one of theirs. Shop foreman said computer would re-set itself. Well, my Japanese designed, Texas built truck with a computer designed & built by who knows where obviously could not read the code of the Chinese built sensor. Computer in truck had to be re-programed & now works just fine. jal-SD

The sensor in inside the tire on the end of the valve stem, in most cases. Look in with your owners manual for a small gray fob with a green button. If there is one it is for programming the sensors not sure if the Edge uses that system, but many Fords do. Also check your owners manual, a Ford should have the procedure in the book. Most of the Asian designed vehicles take special tools to do it.

We get the error codes all the time when it gets cold. Let some air out and spray a little WD40 into the valve stem and start filling. Then add a little more WD40 then more air and continue that cycle for a while. Usually takes care of the issue WD40 (Water Displacement 40) works pretty good on issues like that.
