SV, Looks like your off to a good start. And when that 4 legged horse gives out you can put your 4 tired JD horse in there. My 2 quarter horses were wandering around in the snow this morning. 19 degrees out and more snow coming. Photos of my old horse Bambara that I straightened up .

Great pictures thanks . I wouldn?t worry as much about a barn if he had any kind of wind break or anything. There will always be horses here as long as I have cattle which will be until the day I die

SV, My dad bought the quarter horse in 1988 I think she was at least a year old. He was going to teach my boys to ride but it all went bad. Picture of my mom and dad in 1963 she was born in Big Timber Montana and they met while she was visiting relatives in New York. My neighbors work horse used to come up and hang out with my quarter horse and Tennessee Walker.

These 4 Amish horses came to see what I was doing on the other side of the fence. I guess they like the smell of fresh turned dirt. First there was one and then 3 more showed up.They were way in the back corner of the pasture, about as far from their home as they could get.------------Loren

Use to stop at the little truck stop at Greycliff Mt. everytime I went to Seattle. Not far from Big Timber. Good food and a occasional shooter. Could get the truck oil changed there too.

I love the old pictures thanks for posting . Those horses sure seem to enjoy the snow don?t they ? I?ve always liked horses my grandpa instilled his love for horses on me. He was quite a horseman he grew up riding them and walking behind them plowing harrowing and planting latter on after he couldn?t ride anymore he ran cutters and chariot races

Anything new scares them sometimes! Lol, I took this pic awhile ago, sure do miss my 4 girls, I think they were sunbathing rather then using the run in shed!

Too bad you don't live closer, could have given you a bunch of lumber and tin for the roof. You would have to supply your own nails and screws.
