Trying to get my old 1986 GM 1/2t truck going no spark coming from distributor. Tried parts from 2 others but no luck. Power going in but nothing coming out. Replaced cap, coil, pickup coil,electronic device. Where do the 4 wires going out the back of the distributor go to. Could that be the problem area. I used parts from trucks that were running when parked. I also have old tractors.

If you have power going in and nothing coming out ,it probably the pick up inside the distributor maybe a wire broke
The four wire plug out the back of the distributor goes to the Electronic Spark Timing module, GM's early attempt at electronic spark control on carburetted vehicles. It will not spark with it disconnected. It will run without the EST system if you jumper terminal A to C, if I remember correctly.

A to C is right, should be Black and Green wires.

Have you verified the distributor is turning?
