Update on making it rain

It was not supposed to rain till today when I mowed hay on Tuesday. Well, it's still on the ground and will sure be some clean hay if I get it baled today cause it's rained every day but yesterday. They are calling for showers and possible thunderstorms today but the weather map doesn't show it so my fingers are crossed. it still looked pretty good yesterday afternoon. There will only be about 12 or 13 bales and I'll at least get it off the field.

Please No more cutting hay... mine is standing and turning yellow from too much rain.. We had ground was worked to plant 30 acres more, when someone somewhere cut hay and now on week number 3 of rain..the seed is still not in the ground nor do I think it will go in the ground this year..
Dad took the 3010 with duals on to try and get across a worked field road to check on another pivot of hay.... i stress the try part in that.. Does anyone know where to by log chain in 1/2 mile increments... i think if i get that much and find some poor sap that will wallow thru the knee deep muck to hook to the 3010 I can keep the 4650 on the road and get him back.. if not it may just had to stay till august..

I may just save the seed $$$$, summer fallow the 30 acres and buy hay this year...

Sorry guys, I think I will plead stupidity. Should have known better than to cut until after Memorial Day. As I post this, we're under severe thunder storm warnings. Think I might just run the rotary mower over it to chop up the hay that is down then spread it out with the tedder and leave it till 2nd cutting time. It sure won't hurt the ground and I'm gonna put lime and fertilizer on it anyway, just a little dead grass in the bales I will feed to my horses & what they won't eat will go back out on the field this fall.
