Finally dry enough to get some mowing done. I only mow for one other person now. The egrets abandoned the cattle next door and the grackles flew out from Walmart in town. It was one of those 90/90 days. 90 degrees and 90% humidity. Thank goodness for the 25 - 30 mph breeze.

Hey neighbors! I got a bit of Mexican smoke haze her in Liberty / Devers but the breeze pick up and carried it north.
High sitting over us so I've gotten 180 acres of hay layed down. Start teddering today. If this breeze
continues ill start baling tomorrow after noon.

SETX, I saw where you were cutting. I wondered if the ground was dry enough. This area near Bastrop drains pretty go and was fully dry.

Everything here is gumbo. most fields are dry with a few low spots that track a little but not rut up.

I had a guy call me wanting custom baling. I know his place. Its mostly marsh. To thin to stand on, to thick to drink wet.
Told him to call me about August. maybe then it will be dry.

I go through Bastrop 8-10 times a year headed to Llano. The area that burnt still blows my mind.

Hoping to cut mine if the pop up showers give me a break. We have decided to cut back some, told some of the customers last fall, that they needed to find a different custom baler.
