My lawn is getting taken over by creeping charlie. I am planning to hit it hard this summer with bi-weekly applications of Trimec. I have gotten to thinking though, that tt may be a good idea to also broadcast apply a granular product that would keep working more constantly to give it a sort of double whammy. What would work well for this?

I think granular lawn weed killer
only works on contact and the
weeds have to be wet for the
herbicide to be activated. If I
am wrong I sure would like to
know. Creeping Charlie is very
hard to control.

I use a mixture of Triad and 2D
on my lawn. It takes care of all
weeds however I will still have
to spot spray the creeping
Charlie. I was never happy with
the results I got with Trimec.
Trimec bi-weekly might be a bit
hard on your grass.

I have been using Millenium Ultra for 3 years and it has been working in the spring and fall on creeping Charlie. Add some 32% and dish detergent. It is not cheap but so far has really worked.

I had that stuff in our front lawn. Gave up and sprayed the entire lawn with glyphosate. When it was dead I tilled it up and reseeded with fescue. Now the only weeds I have are dandelions.
