Cold weather battery maintainer

Will a battery maintainer help keep battery warm or fully charged in extreme cold? tHe wife's car will need to start tomorrow morning and temperature is supposed to get down around -25 to -30 air temps tonight. Just wondering if maintainer will help. I have one to put on battery if it will help. The car started early today at -20 but not by much. Think i will put it on and see

i AMP into 12v does not make much heat. It does keep the chemicals active, so it will help. Jim

If you have a battery charger that will cut back when it full, just leave the dome light on with the charger on the battery.

Stop at wall mart, Lowes, tractor supply and pick up a Schumacher charger maintainer unit. Around $30. to $40 dollar range. Read the box. You want 3 amp for the larger one and 1.5 amp on the smaller one. They will have 6 / 12 auto select. Also maintainer function. After the fully charge they go into an idle mode and you see the green light slowly pulse on and off. The first picture is the older one. You can mount it right on your fender well permanently. Just leave it plugged in. The newer one is more powerful and hangs to the side. I must have 15 or more of both types. Lovethem.

No it won't keep batteries warm. Cold batteries won't take much of a charge either.
