More Pipeline: this time set back for homes

Anyone know for sure what the set back distance is to build a new home next to a pipeline route. Enbridge specifically?

For more on the location go to NBC4 out of Columbus Ohio, they flew a helicopter around the site and video taped the area. The problem is, all they could concentrate on was the smoldering pile of round bales and a pump jack. You can find that video on Facebook taken in the late afternoon of Jan 21 Monday.
The closest house remains can be seen in the lower left corner, which also shows ground Zero, but only for a few seconds. Does not even show where the one barn was that burnt, or my friend Larry's house.

No restrictions, as long as it does not encroach on the easement for the pipeline itself. Have seen houses, barns and others built at the right-of-way edge. With survey, have had to tell people their building has to be removed from the easement.

25' from the edge of the right-of-way, which is 50' from the buried transmission pipeline. That's what I was told by a pipeline company working in Michigan.

I live in SE MI and have 2 42" medium pressure natural gas mains running through my 3 acres. The easement is 66' and my house is exactly on the edge of the easement (33' from the center). The original line was installed in 68 prior to any development. The house was built in 73 and the second line was installed in 2000. The gas company paid $41 to cross the original 12 acre parcel in 68. They had to repurchase the easement to install the second line. When it was all said and done, I got north of $16,000.00 for the easement on my 3 acres. My house is within 33' of 2 large mains. If either go up, I won't have to worry about it. I've lived there for 35 years, 20 more (if I'm lucky) and I won't be around to care.

Off the ROW you can do what you want. I can show you a elementary school that the wall runs down the edge of the ROW. 10" line 500 psi.
