Went to get tested for hearing aids yesterday. The guy found my left ear was much worse than my right. "How come?" he asked.
"I farmed for quite a few years and put up a lot of hay."
"What's that got to do with it?"
"Hay mowers and balers are on the right side of the tractor- you're looking over your right shoulder all the time, so your left ear is turned forward toward the tractor exhaust."
"Makes sense,", said he. "I also see a lot of that in truck drivers- window open, arm out the window, exhaust right in your left ear."
We're getting them for $330 apiece, through AARP Medicare Advantage plan (United Healthcare). Most places want 2 grand apiece, and up. We've got "Option B", no monthly premium. We're sure happy with it.
