It was raining, couldn't sleep and bored

I got up early because of the rain and wind.
So I decided to go to YT's Photo ads and
search for tractors from each state to see
what tractors are used in different parts of
the country. I found it interesting to see
some states have very few tractors listed.
Other states had lots or Red or Green
tractors.

So, what do you do if you are waiting for the
sun to come up and you can't sleep? Of course
I had breakfast first. BTW, it's still raining.

Pour yourself a cup of ambition (coffee) and check yt. and think about what "could" be done. Went to Nappanee Ind. Amish Acres round barn theater for a live play last evening, got home late, short night, doesn't help with getting things done.

The neighbor told me this morning it is a good morning for newlyweds and ducks. I'm not a newlywed (but I can vaguely remember) or a duck. So I got up, said something uncomplimentary about the weather, and went out to check the calves we weaned on Thursday.

Slept until 8, missed my morning coffee group at 7, and it doesn't bother me a bit (even tho they'll be wanting a note from SWMBO as to my unexcused absence). I'm really getting into the swing of this retirement thing.

I used to eat at Amish acres after going to Shipshewana. Last visit to Shipshewana was my last. Nothing there like 20 years ago. I loved eating at Amish Acres.

Bill,
I'm not dead yet so I woke up and had get up and went. I got up and went to the bathroom.

I finally got caught up on my projects. Been busy since I got back from traveling out east.

Monday I plan to help Friend at the 10 acre horse ranch work on 1914 post beam barn. Owner is going lame, he can hardly walk, knee problems.

Got up at five, drank coffee, and did some paperwork. Checked YT and a few other boards. Then I went over to my shop, cranked up my old Dodge army truck and winged back the snow banks on about half of my plow route. This last snow was so wet and heavy that it just kind of oozed of the end of the plow and sat there. I needed to get most of it over the edge and across the ditch as far as possible, to make room for the next snow.

This afternoon we will take the Massey 175 with front end loader and tire chains, my plow truck and a chainsaw, and hack and slash our way into a half mile of driveway. Fortunately, the owner is in some warm sunny place for the winter, so there is no rush, but I want it open before the next snow.

Harold .... what model of Dodge military truck do you have? Front mount plow I assume. Post a photo if you have one. I only owned one Dodge pickup, a '51 "Job Rated" half ton and it was a good old truck. Had it in the first half of the 90's, would probably still be driving it in the summers if I had more storage.

M 882 radio truck. Same as a 1977 Dodge W200. Front mount plow, or side mount wing, the front axle isn?t heavy enough to carry both at the same time. Right now it is set up with the wing, and also a v-box sander, in anticipation of tonight?s/tomorrow?s possible ice storm.

I?m not sure how much longer I can keep the old girl running, the engine has ignition problems, soon to be cured by an HEI distributor conversion. The steering box leaks, the cab has settled on it?s mounts, and the bed sides are kind of Swiss cheese. I use it for the wing and sander, and as a backup to my 94 FordF250 plow truck. In summer it hauls haywagons.

I don?t have photos easily available, maybe I can take some soon.
