Anyone get Elected?

There are a few that hang out here that have run for county or
state office and got elected ? . Would you care to admit it?
.Either in the past or the most recent election ,Whether you won or
lost . Will You please chime in and report the office. LOL It Has
been a year for sure for Me . I got selected as County
Commissioner when a friend of mine died in office. .Consequently I
signed to keep the job and ran the gauntlet of parades ,
appearances and all sorts of public exposure. That work paid off
when we won the general election by over 60 % .

I didn't run, however all I Voted for (except the county sheriff) won election. Note the lack of political content/direction. Jim

My tractor hasn't run for any office in a long time.

I've been involved with our township government for the past 22 years. First elected as a trustee for 2 terms, then township clerk for 3 terms, and now Township Supervisor for 2 years. Guess being an Oliver owner, makes for good citizenship. LOL!

Will start my 4th. term as a county commissioner here in Michigan. We have to run every 2 years. No one running against me in all 4 elections....

Does the township level count?
One year on zoning board of appeals.
Four years on town board.
Two year term as supervisor. I probably could have had it for life if I wanted it. But I didn't.

LOL, speaking of township levels, I have a neighbor who ran unopposed as a treasurer for the township level. Being in a sparsely populated county, it's one of those jobs that it's volunteer and everybody is thankful that he took it....or it may not get filled. ANYWAY, since he's a neighbor of mine and can take a joke, I wanted to take an old wood pallet and paint his name on it with the words "for township board" behind it, but I simply ran out of time to do so. Of course, he got elected.

I didn't but the Wife got elected for the third time as county supervisor!---Tee

I've served on various boards and committees in our church over the years, but have never run for public office, and have no intentions of doing so.

If you're not willing to run and serve your community then you shouldn't be whining about how things are done.

Man up and do your time.

Not elected positions but I'm on the town's zoning board, safe structure committe, plus a couple of groups. Putting up the towns Christmas tree tomorrow. Small town America!

Never heard of position of township Supervisor. All have around here in Ohio is Trustee, clerk and zoning

Spent over 20 years on township planning commission, was elected Township Supervisor 2 years ago. Have to say it is humbling to serve ones community.

Still serving on the Town Board here. I think I'm up next year. I hate having to beg for signatures on the primary petition, but if I don't someone might get in that isn't as responsible with the tax payers money. It's a fight, that I can tell you. Lordy! The number of folks that seem to think money grows on trees! We're having a hard time finding anyone to run for the Supervisors position. It's a lot of hours every week and not much money, works out to less than $5.00 an hour and all the headaches you can handle!
