Ice Fencing

No, not ice fishing. Its a little early for that but just right to get out on the slough ice to fix fence where I couldn't get to all summer. Water is about 3 feet deep at the middle. The old fence has been under water for years and now its receding to the point that the cattle could sneak through at the edges of the slough if they wanted. So I punch holes in the ice for pickets and drive them down in the mud. Run out some wire and staple it so it should be good for next year. Caught a nice view of the sunset while out on the ice.

Oh yes, can't hide from google earth satellites. Its a 2011 image. You can also see the big slough I was working on today and the fence running through it. .
