If it wasn't for cold and nasty winter snow how could a person totally appreciate a beautiful summer day with a light breeze? If the leafs didn't turn brown and fall off how could we enjoy seeing them return? Same principle with women. How could I enjoy how pretty and easy going my wife is if I didn't spend a hour or two with her mother or sister. Just a short visit and I come home feeling like I am living a Dream! So bring on the snow. Then I will be very happy to see it leave. Al

It's fun to go for a walk in the woods after a snow, you see all the animal tracks and realize how many there really are. Also it prevents the ground from freezing so deep early in the winter, of course the loggers like that. You can't please everyone!

Maybe it's a matter of age/time/totality of exposure- because- two things I would be happy to never experience again are snow and mud.

You make a very valid point...

However, I could very much appreciate a beautiful summer day, even if winter never dipped below 30 degrees... and even if there wre no blizzards with sub-zero temps. I really beieve it. I do.
