Ever fix an ice maker with a rubber band? Ice maker stopped working. Every time I would bump the lever, it would dump a load of ice. So I attached a rubber band to the lever to pull it closer to icemaker. Ice maker is working as it should making nice size cubes.

I use to repair several commercial ice machines and hated them. I went to service school for manitowoc ice machines and it was interesting to see the large cranes they also made.

I can beat that, got called in a Sunday to find someone had turned the water off! Not complaining it was the easiest 4 hours of double time ever earned in 10 minutes!

You are probably right, short term. This is a replacement ice maker. I'm guessing a micro switch needs moved a tick closer to lever.

I'll know today if it shuts off, almost full of ice.

I took the old one apart many times and it's a witch to put back together.

They are cheap on ebay and Amazon, around $50. One on Amazon has the 3 solenoids with it. So if I get a replacement one that's the one I'm getting.

our refrigerator started randomly overflowing water from the icemaker. I changed the solenoid water valve and thought it was fixed. about 3 months later it did it again. this time I replaced the icemaker and it has not done it since.

This screw is the adjustment of water level. Water level is determined by the time solenoid is open. Adjust it to negative and time will be less.
