I had to replace the discs on the slip clutch on my hesston 1320 discbine. It wasn't a normal slip clutch. It was all contained in a pack with the over running clutch. It came apart easy enough, but putting it back together was a different story. It was all held together with a lock ring that you had to twist into place with the whole unit under tension. Also, the over running clutch dogs could fall out, or the coil springs could shift. A real mess to put back together. I was afraid I had taken something apart that I would have to take to the machine shop in a bucket. I couldn't figure out how to compress the springs to get the lock ring in place. I finally put weight on it with the loader. I didn't expect it to work, with the universal joint in the shaft. Surprisingly, it worked the first time. Ready to mow hay again!
