Nice little brushhog tractor

Nice little kubota 4310 hydrostatic foot operated makes it really easy to trim around things no pushing the clutch in just use your foot for forward or reverse I use a 7ft offset brushog brand brushhog.i keep things mowed low so it doesn't struggle with the 7 footer.

Looks like a nice rig. I have some woods pasture that a machine like that would work perfectly for.

I could sure use some of those rounds out of that shed soon. I hate having to by hay, but the rounds are easier/cheaper to buy. I put up about 1,500 small squares for my sheep and calves, roll the rest. I just need to work more of my ground and seed some down.

One of the best moves I made was replacing my so-called "first round" tractor, which was a MF 533 (2007 version of 135), with a Kubota L6060.

I use the first round tractor and mower to open things up before switching off to a larger tractor/mower combination. I also use it to mow small parcels and parcels with many obstacles requiring continual direction reversal, speed changes, etc. I use a Woods BB720X HD 6' cutter with it.

The 533 was a decent little inexpensive 2WD tractor with adequate power but had a 4X2 non synchronized transmission and dry, drum brakes. It was also trouble prone.

The 6060 has about 10 more PTO HP, is hydrostat, FWA, and has all of the bells and whistles. It has reduced my mowing time as much as 50% in some heavily obstructed parcels. It also cost about three times as much as the 533.

Still, there is no going back.

I would not want that foot control hydrostat. Hand control only for me. When I bought my last riding garden tractor mower I made sure I was getting one with hand control like the first one I had. Too many bounces to keep constant speed same as on a tractor why you do not want a foot feed for fuel.

Foot control works great, especially with a loader joystick. Can get a heck of a lot of work done quickly. I?m not a fan of the newer twin pedal designs for the reasons mentioned. The Kubota treddle works fine in rough ground though.

Agreed, Ken.

I've three Kubotas with foot control hydrostat transmissions. One also has a hand control. The hand control has never been used in 25+ years.

It's funny how we think of Kubota as a little tractor when that particular model has half again the horsepower of a Farmall M.

The 10 series was the first of the GRAND L series .. Over the run I probably sold over 600 or so of the 10 series and there are still a lot of them out there. Improvements in the opening of the hood and front grill sheet metal when the 30 series came out was really about all the changes. Someone mentioned a hand hydrostat, that would just not work on the loader tractors and this unit has a dampener in the linkage , no bouncing of the pedal. Once a guys bought a hydrostat he pretty well is hooked on hydrostat set up.
