Interesting, thanks for the pictures! Can they use limestone for blacktop paving, or is it too soft? Do they have to drill, blast, and crush, or can they just dig it out? The area that I'm from has run out of natural gravel, now they drill, blast, and crush, its granite/quartz/greenstone bedrock. Makes a load of class 5 cost $200!

I hauled about eight loads yesterday from a local plant. They have three silos there and each one is maybe half again higher than the ones in your pics. They drop eight tons at a time into the truck. The same company has another plant that drops twelve tons at a time.

If I'm looking at the skyline right, I worked 38 years in the building on the far left. Retired effective 8-1. Wife was there 44 yrs.
