Keith sent me some SS screen. I soldered it to the end of a 1 1/4 brass drain pipe. It Fits inside the gas tank on my Kawasaki mule. I'll keep it and my gas can spout inside a zip lock when not in use.
If I can find a metal a 1 1/4 drain pipe with a flange instead of threaded end, I'll make another one that I can keep inside Mule's gas tank. It should fit under the gas cap.
I have no idea where the tiny particles came from my new filter caught. The gas I use in the mule comes from Marathon. All my gas cans have original gas caps. I take extra care to keep crap out of my gas cans. Other things I gas up I can use a metal funnel with a built in screen. Trying to hold a funnel with one hand and a gas can with the other is extremely difficult to do on the mule.
So a Big thanks to Keith Smith for the SS screen.
So how many of you make things you can't buy?
