Would a Farmall m be able to pull 4 row jd 7000 no till with row cleaners and/or liquid or dry ferilizer? Also, would a hydraulic PTO pump to run hydraulics Rob too much power from the tractor?

I was going to say if it will lift it you will be ok. I pulled an 800 ih with my DC for many years. You may want up shifting down if you have steep hills.

My H with stock lift all would raise 6 row planter, but not the marker arms.

I have not tested it since I put live hydraulics on it.

If you are spending money for a hyd pump. Look in junk yards for a live hyd pump. Goes between distributor and block. A Super M thru a 450 will have one. Also a 7000 has just one cylinder. If it won't raise it. May have to get a bigger cylinder. Think they just had 1400 psi. Our newer John Deere has 2800. 4020 JD has 2300 psi.

You take the fertilizer off and it MIGHT? lift it. They are heavier than you think.' They are I would guess twice as heavy as a 494A planter and I think our H Farmall would have had trouble lifting that full with seed and fertilizer. And the boxes are a lot smaller on the 494A and smaller yet on a 494 planter. Never put the farmall on tho as the drawbar was not drilled corectly for the marker controls on the 494 & 494A planters.

Should work as long as the pump is not wore out. Remember, the wider the cylinder piston the more force that can be created for lifting. If for some reason it has a smallish cylinder such as 2.5 inch diameter going to say 3.5 inch may make a difference in raising it.

There are cheap enough anymore. If you are buying 1, make sure it isn't a plate type, they came both ways. In all the years I was in the fuel business, 7000's had just came out, I never saw anyone attempt pull one with an m, a lot of 560, 656, 806, 856 etc.
